Growth: A Marketing Consultant is responsible to contribute to the growth and profitability of ECA. This is achieved by building a productive and profitable data base in both the quantity and quality of agents. Growth is achieved by proactively recruiting and contracting agents to ECA and our carriers. This is successfully done by profiling agents and identifying their markets. ECA can then be used as a solution to their marketing needs.
Relationships…building and maintaining: A Marketing Consultant is responsible to develop relationships with non-contracted ECA agents and eventually secure that relationship by contracting. Once an agent is contracted, maintaining this relationship is critical. This can be achieved by providing in customer satisfaction and quality service. Maintaining this relationship also includes working with agents on case development and product recommendations and solutions.
Teamwork: A Marketing Consultant will work with a team of people including supply, contracting, new business and marketing communications. It is critical that the team work like a well-oiled machine to provide the customer satisfaction and quality service that our agents demand and deserve. To assure a quality team each individual must provide realistic expectations of others. Communication of expectations is critical. Personal performance and meeting personal expectations is a requirement of a quality team member.
Personal Growth and Accountability: A Marketing Consultant is responsible to acquire and maintain knowledge of the insurance industry. An individual is expected to be accountable for their own individual performance and actions and display a positive and respectful attitude for themselves, ECA and its employee, the insurance industry and our agents.
Company and individual expectations will be established. The expectations will be based on the following areas:
Activity: Activity plays a critical piece in a marketing consultant’s success. To successfully recruit and get agents into production contact and communication needs to happen. This contact is primarily done through phone calls; consequently there are two areas of activity that are measured.
- Number of calls made and taken.
- The amount of time on the phone.
Recruiting: To build and grow a successful agent base, contracting is vital. A marketing consultant is expected to continually bring in new agents to ECA. The recruiting expectation is based on the number of new agent contracts brought in.
Profitability: Marketing consultants are expected to maintain a certain level of profitability for ECA.
Other Expectations: There are times when other expectations will be required; such as special promotions, conference call attendees, etc. These expectations will be clearly communicated as they arise.
