ECA History

ECA Marketing has roots dating back to 1985.  Purchased and re-branded as ECA Marketing in 1997 by Elliott “Hap” Cobb, ECA Marketing is a National Annuity and Life Marketing Organization doing business in all 50 states and several U.S. territories.  Since 2006, ECA Marketing has produced over $3.8 Billion in Fixed Annuity Premium and $100 million in Target Life Premium.  ECA Marketing Management currently sits on the Field Advisory Councils of six carriers and is one of the country’s largest Independent Marketing Organizations.

In 2006, ECA Marketing was acquired by National Financial Partners.  The strategic acquisition of an independent Fixed Annuity specialist company was made to enhance Fixed Annuity delivery and scale for the NFP Member Firms and membership Organizations

NFP, founded in 1998 and publically traded since 2003 on the NYSE, owns 181 firms in 41 states and Puerto Rico.  NFP’s corporate focus is Life Insurance and Wealth Transfer, Corporate and Executive Benefits, and Financial Planning and Investment Advisory.

ECA continues to show its dedication not only to the success of our agents and organization today, but we strongly believe it is our obligation to explore options to guarantee our future growth and success.  In January, 2007, ECA Marketing acquired DNA Brokerage in West Des Moines, IA.  This acquisition brought another 2500 agents to our already large agent base, along with a staff of seasoned marketers, administration, and resources.  This has proven to be another successful partnership to continue our momentum of growth.
